Front Bumper repainted - How long before Clear Bra

Guys I have searched the forums about the amount of time it should take to let paint cure before you put your clear bra on. But the paint shop I went to said it should only need a week. Now most of you on here seem to disagree with that (from what I read y'all say a month or more).

But can you tell me why I should wait. This is my daily commuter ... so I really don't want to be driving without the clear bra on the newly painted bumber because the roads and bugs here really did a number in the year I have had the car. If you can help out with the reasoning behind waiting longer I would really appreciate it!

Depends on how the body shop cured the paint i believe. Some use just heat others have a UV thing they use. I would just double check with the body shop and go from there.

It is goign to cost me 250.00 to have it done. I don't know what the Clear bra is goign to run me because I only need the bumper piece as the rest of the car (hood and mirrors) are already done. We discoved the pealing clear coat when we were putting on the clear bra ... so we will see

Same here on the whole friggin car except the front bumper and lip!!?? I am in the process of having mine re-painted as we speak. I looked a while back and the bumper/Lip CB kit was around 400 bucks plus installation!

I paid 250.00 for the repainting and it was a great match. Got the Car back late last night, but it looked great this morning in the sun. Now just 8 coats of wax tonight ... I have to wait 30 days for the Clear Bar - to let the paint cure so I won't be driving too much .. can't bear any more paint chips!

If you want to do both yourself and your clear bra installer, dont wax the parts that you plan on covering. It will be harder for the installer.

Yeah, the installer will clean the nose and then remove any wax that is on the car. This is because it helps with getting the adhesive to stick.
