I've had a couple of experiences of the driver side window on my 03 coup not working. Hit the down switch and nothing. Bang the door shut a couple of times and back working. Noticed today, that I opened and closed the door while the car wasn't running and it didn't "auto roll" up.

Any tsb's or others with knowledge out there?

I sometimes have that problem. I think its in the control button. I pulled it out and tweaked on it and it works perfect again.

 

I have had my driver window regulator replaced once already. Now sometimes when I have the window down it "hesitates" when I try to roll it up. I push the button down and hold it for a count of 2 and then pull up on it and the window works.

 

i'm having the exact same problem...did you resolve yours yet? I'm wondering if it's the window motor or the window regulator?? I know many people with the 03-04 G's had to replace the window motors...not sure about regulators.

 

I had the same issue with my 03 after only a month. The dealer replaced the regulator first without success and I had to wait a month for the part as the car was so new. In the end, it was the motor which was also replaced by the dealer. Additionally on the 03, there is a grease smudge on the inside of the window which was also fixed. I think there are tech bulletins for both issues listed in the tech forum.

 

yeah i have the greese smudge on both windows!! Hated that since day #1 but never knew what it really was. Any idea how to get rid of that (no warranty left). Looks like I need to look in the tech section for the motor thing and maybe i'll find how to get rid of that greese thing too. Thanks for the info.

 

well i found the tech on the grease problem...nothing found in tech section on the window motor replacement tho...just how to reset the regulator if replacing the motor. Not sure if i wanna try and do it myself or not...sounds like it could be very complicated, but I live 2 hours from the dealer so having them do it is going to suck (and i'm out of warranty).
