Fitment review - KurumaZ, Impul replica sides, KS replica rear
Well, I just went to my bodyshop to pick up my car after the fitment is all done. Some more prep work will be done and then the parts will be ready for paint... Anyway, here is the fitment review for the parts:
-KS replica rear: Bought from Creative Autoworks. The fitment isn't good... there were 1/4" gap between the bumper and fenders, and the license plate support is way too thin and weak. My body guy will fabricate some metal plates to reinforce that. The bumper also requires a lot of prep work.
-Impul replica sides: Also bought from Creative Autoworks. One of the sides were clearly more poorly made than the other. There also are a lot of imperfections and they are wavy... Plus the fitment was just crap. It required a lot of prep work as well.
-KurumaZ front: OEM like fitment according to my body guy. There was no adjustment needed as far as the fitment goes. However, the bumper has rough surface and will require some prep work. No biggie though, and my body guy said he won't charge me for it.
I have to pay $250 in total for prepping and fitment work for the sides and rear bumper... maybe a bit more. I was disappointed after Creative Autoworks said the fitment is good on the replica parts. However, I don't mind at all since the overall price comes out A LOT cheaper than the original parts. It's a good thing my body guy is a perfectionist so the car will come out looking the right way
So if you don't mind replicas and there is a good bodyshop near you, it could be a good idea to go with replicas. If your bodyshop doesn't know what they are doing, do not ever go with replicas or poor quality parts(as some originals aren't so great either, although most are very good). I can't wait until everything is done, but it will still take a while to get all the prepping done and get them painted. I will post pics once everything gets done.

the Kuruma front / Impul replica sides are what i am planning on going with...
please post pics as soon as you get it done so i can see how it matches up... do the Impul skirts line up height wise with the Kuruma front?

I haven't seen the car with the stuff on so I don't know. The OEM stuff is back on for now. I will post pics as soon as I get everything painted and installed though.
