Kuruma bumper painting ?

Hey guys
Any one have this bumper that has painted it in DG . My painter is having trouble matching the color right . He pulled up the color code and he brought over the standard color chip , one lighter , and one darker . We took the car into the sun light and the standard was as close to my car as you could get . So he took the new bumper and painted it . Well it came out much to dark . Next he took the stock bumper with him and tried to match it . He came over tonight and he said he worked for a couple hour just trying to match it before repainting it again . He said he just couldnt get it close enough for him . He is a perfectionist and I told him to get it as close as possible . I gave him my new splash gaurds to help with matching . Any one else having this trouble ???????

yep,
the paint has several different types of particles "floating" in it. Thats why its looks different for different angles even in direct sunlight or shade. I wnet to the infiniti dealership & had the guy that paint their car do it. He's used to painting that"type" of paint. He said he uses the same brand paint that the factory uses. My match is almost exact. The only difference is my old paint is 3 years old & has the Clear Coat on it. I'm pretty happy with the match though.

The dealer has the same system. They wont be able to do any better then what he can do. There is no such thing as "dealer" paint.

color matching is a biotch....... the only thing to do is a hood and fender match.... they have to blend it all together..... there's no way to get a perfect match without it.... i recently had my hood painted, and they fender blend it... it looks perfect, can't tell the difference at all ,,,,,, but my bumper does look a little off becuase i didn't want them to blend in the bumper... looking back, i should have... but i am planning on a new bumper anyways......

Im not looking for it to be perfect...dont expect it . Even on the stock bumper and spoiler , you can tell there is a slight difference in color . Just need it close as not to stand out . The splash gaurds I just bought are a little darker , but dont stand out .
