has your grills chipped over time? If not how were they painted?
first time i painted myself...i drive on the fwy every day so my front bumper gets chips all the time too...
getting a professional paint job will make the grille last longer...

As of not my bumper is pretty banged up. I never got clear bra and a piece of sheetrock hit it when I was driving a month ago so I either need a new front bumper or it needs to be repainted. I want to go with Ings rep sides in urenthane and a nismo urenthane front (if I can find it) or Im just going to have my stock front resprayed and have the grill redone.

Off topic question but a few guys with nismo fronts are viewing this thread so i may as well ask. Does anyone sell a clear bra kit for the nismo front? I has a fiberglass front once... wasnt pretty after a while

+1 I plan to repaint it from time to time. Not big on the clear bra either (for IP at least).

The fiberglass NISMO front is the only area that I've had any chips so far, and on that it's like 3, with only two of those being real chips in the paint coat.

With as often as I have to clean the bugs off the front, I can't imagine any clear vinyl holding up too well after a while. Seems like the bug guts would stain. As it is, I credit only Zaino (and myself ) for making bug removal easy. Just a wipe and they come off.

I may wait for automotivemods to come out with the urenthane version of te nismo front. I never had good luck with fiberlglass kits.

If I ever had to replace the NISMO front, I'd opt for a urethane replica if the fit was perfect. The only thing that would make me consider the authentic NIMSO front again is the fact that it is an absolute OEM fit. I could do without the chips.

FWIW, I've found satin-black to be a good match for the other black-plastic trim on the car. Gives a nice, OEM look.
