Its having the TT kit, and other parts not for street use thats illegal not the bumper. ..... Steve, Im guessing thats why Vinh's removing the kit? When I had my TT installed, I requested to keep everything underhood to look like stock, if thats even possible. Had piping powder coated black, and hide the bov. In Cali, not worth spending more $ on any more engine mods, with the possibly of getting pulled over just to be forced to have it removed or get towed.

Ill let Vinh speak on that. I watched a police video about a week ago. They now have a new task force aimed at imports. These guys know what to look for. Gauges, intercoolers, exhaust, ect. In the vid they went as far to say that the blue vacuum hose was illegal, lol. Im working on a second home right now out of state. But until then I have to lay low.

that video you're talking about isnt the one from sd is it? the "different scenarios" video if u kno what i mean. You can always go back to vortech and you'll be "somewhat" legal dont get rid of the car man we've been doing this stuff behind the cops backs for too long..cant give up now!

If the exhaust note is under 95db, the aftermarket exhaust mod is not illegal

get your exhausts tested, if it passes and you get pulled over, shove the test papers in their face.

it says u can only get ur exhaust tested after a citation.. still good tho. It would be so much easier if the manufacturers of the exhausts can provide some kind of paperwork for the customers.. like some sort of ceritification.
