If I were going to paint my GRILL black (DIY) what recommendations can be given?

Cool If I were going to paint my GRILL black (DIY) what recommendations can be given?

I was reading the other thread about blacking out the OEM grill and was thinking how I would go about painting this myself w/o massive CHIPPING occuring on the backend...

Apparently it will chip like crazy if a PRO shop doesn't do it... how is a pro shop different for something like this? (I can understand for larger parts--but this should be a DIY no?)

it can be a DIY if you put a clear coat you wont get as many chips...

either way you will get the chips...trust me i have done a lot of blacking out of the grilles with spray paint and real paint. spray paint is much cheaper but will not last even close to as long. also, real paint is 100x better looking in person.
