PICS ADDED!!
Okay, as most of you know, my parked car was hit by the UPS man last week.
I got it back on thursday about 5pm and then went out of town (in the wifes car), and now I am back.
Ive been reading all the posts about paintmatching the IP and how hard it is. I also remember the factory bumper and how it was even off a little.
The bodyshop said they paint matched (I left the car there too) and the bumper looks darker than the car.. its like a greyish color.
Now what should I do? I should have said something when I picked up the car, but I was so excited and in a hurry to get it that I just paid, signed, grabbed my key and took off. It probably not that noticable to the normal person, but "I" see the difference and its killing me.
Did I wait too long to say something? Or should I call and express my dis-satisfaction with the color match? Or should I just suck it up and deal with it.
Any advice?

+1, you need to complain about it. When I took mine in to get the stone chips fixed, that's the first thing they asked; "you don't have the pearl do you?" No, it's DG. They did a pretty good job of matching. The only thing that's a bit off is the size of the flakes in the paint, when you get real close they are just an RCH bigger than the original.

my family has bee in the autobody business for 20+ years an i have never seen a car come out perfect when paint matching a urethane bumper to a metal body. the bumper will always be a tad bit darker. just look at every car that comes that way from the factory. now in your case just looking at the pics above, without even enlarging, you can see it has way too much pearl. the color may be a tad darker than it should be but like i said you cant get it exact. there are 2 ways to fix this, the shop can tone up the paint and spray test panels til it is very very close, or they can blend your quarter panels and deck lid. i would suggest having them do the first option, but it will take more time to get it right. good luck!

After talking with my wife.. its not that bad. I can live with it (till I get a body kit
! She talked me out of making a big scene of it. I remember the factory bumper was not even a perfect match and I didnt like how that looked. Ill live..

The thing is, it would look darker because it is fresh paint. But then again, your car is an 06, so it already has fresh paint. And, the bottom bumper is a different material than the top, hence the different color. It happens with every color. Your gonna go their and complain, but in the end, theyre going to say the same thing I just told you. it would be a waste of time, but I wouldnt hurt to try
