Sedan - Removing clock panel
Sedan - Removing clock panel
I have seen a posting where it says the panel can come out just by grabbing it and pulling it straight out. I have tried that and I find there is nowhere to get a good grip and it will not budge. Can anyone help?
Re: Sedan - Removing clock panel
You cannot just grip the panel and pull it off. Or we would all be picking up our doors off the sdiewalk everyday.
1- Needed, #3 Phillips and Medium Flat head screw drivers.
2- Use screwdriver and insert into recess on the underside of the plastic trim for the grab handle. Twist to unclip, then grab the trim and pull away from door.
3- Use Phillips and remove all screws holding the door panel, should be three.
4- Once all screws are removed, grab the bottom of the panel and pull firmly to unclip. Then lift UP and away from door.
5- Unhook the 2 cables for the door lock and 1 wire harness. Make sure you make a mental note where everything goes.
6- Assemble in reverse order, some clips may have come off in the door, remove them and put back into the panel before reinstalling.
Hope this helps but it is pretty simple to figure out once you get started.

Re: Sedan - Removing clock panel
Yes, I was refering to the clock bezel. Sorry I confused you by calling it a panel.
I have a sort of clicking noise from the front when going over road bumps and I think it is in the clock area.
Can we remove the bezel easily?

LOL. I was about to say, damn all that work to just get the clock out. I can see someone fallowing those steps thinking there's a clock inside the door.BS G35C 6spd navi/aero/prem
Re: Sedan - Removing clock panel
The dealer took care of this for me. They solved the problem by using insulation tape of some sort under it. They seemed to be familiar with the problem and were able to take care of it very fast.
