when i see that interior is when i cant wait to a my second Gcoupe cause i love the stock look but i also love all this interior upgrades i will like to know why nobody here likes the carbon pieces,seems like almost every topic it will be one person not likeing nothing that people get for the G,s after all most people here suppost to be enthusiast people,but if a lot of people like to keep their G,s mostly stock maybe there,s a lot of people in the wrong place,dont get me wrong i am just say if somebody wants to throw a body kit:no mater how cool or ugly it looks what maters its the person like it! so if at a point you guys dont like what the guys here are doing just be quiet and respect what other people like to do,because i can put this same mess. on every topic.people saying:"i dont like that" "why you do that to your car"

I KNOW THIS THREAD WAS BACK IN 2007, but I have searched this forum and many others, and cant come up with a for sure answer. As some know I have stripped out my interior. I am re doing everything. My game plan was to use alcantara on a few places that are in direct sun AKA the 2 dashboards. But does anyone know if it fades? I dont want to put it on then 6 months later it start turning purple on me. I would ask the owner of this car, but it says hes banned. Please help THANKS

 

Can anyone answer if,the suede will fade. Alcantara suede aka ultra suede will it fade.

 

It will not fade after 6 months; however, after 2-3 years of being hit by UV it will start to lighten the color being a dark color that you are using. If you can get a car cover or dark tint to protect it from any UV rays the color should not change even over years of use. Hope that helps!

 

It does. I personally think it will look good. I just didn't want to spend the money on the alcantara, and then it fades out within a year. I have a windshield cover, but I do not have a tint on the windshield and probably never will.

 

Total cost, if you dont mind me asking? No seats?

The OP posts under the name RRyde now - shoot him a PM to see how the suede is holding up. I think he keeps the suede covered to reduce the likelihood of fading, however.

 

I guess in 1 more year, i will let you know. I did mine about 2 years ago.
