Titanium Trim Purchased

I dont know about ppl in the states, but in Canada, to get the titanium trim we have to get the aero package. The titanium trim comes with a 'titanium' (painted plastic) middle console, which I didn't really like, so I didn't purchase the aero package.

However, I was able to REPLACE all the wood parts in the car.

I went to infiniti, and had them replace it for me. So ppl who are wondering if they can get rid of the wood, you CAN!

costs about $400 CAN including tax and infiniti installation

Re: Titanium Trim Purchased

Thanks for the advice - I would like the titanium package as well, however, I would like exactly what is available in the aero package (as far as the trim) - are all the pieces available? Including the center console?

Re: Titanium Trim Purchased

Well as you see, the door pieces are snap on pieces.. you just pull out the wood and snap in the 'metal'

the shifter **** has to be replaced as a whole ****, and there's wiring to be done on the inside, since you have that annoying piece of **** button on the left side of the ****

the center console in reality (from what i have been reading, sorry if i'm wrong) is just paint. Paint on silver that scratches off fairly easily if you're not careful apparently...

in the aero package, you get front and back 'aerodynamic' bumpers. The back bumper is really nice. But I prefer the standard front bumper over the aero-front bumper. The aero-front bumper doesn't look nice to me.
And of course, you'll get your rear spoiler/wings on teh car with the aero package... depends if you like it... look at it as maxima with wings OR maxima without wings. Since this is a midsize car, some people prefer no wings. If you dont' like wings, you can get the aero package without the rear spoiler (cause i read about someone who bought an aero package and had teh dealer switch the trunks of his car and a car without an aero package FOR FREE), last but not least you get the rims and the sport suspension, which are both good...
the suspension will make your ride tougher on rough roads, but makes your car look better and more racy...

hope i answered your question

Re: Titanium Trim Purchased

... i dont think i answered your question

anyways, if you get the aero package, you get the middle console silver as well

however, in the after market, you can only purchase the ****, and the door handles. if you want the middle console to be silver, you'll prob have to get infiniti service/maintenance to paint it for ya

Re: Titanium Trim Purchased

Actually,
Here in the US...the sport package is the one that comes with the titanium..
the aero package is only including the spoiler and underbody difussers...

The Aero kit comes with the front and back bumpers with side sill which will include everything in the aero package...
Unless it has changed??

I'm actually looking to replace the center titanium console with a black one..I'm not really liking the console...Any ideas if you can get that seperate?

Re: Titanium Trim Purchased

As far as I know, the Aerodynamic Body Kit does not include the underbody diffusers, which is why there are 2 versions of it.. one is w/o a spoiler and requires the Aero Package.

Re: Titanium Trim Purchased

I'm confused here...I got the sport premium w/ no 'aero' cause I don't like the spoiler...does this mean I have the underbody diffusers...? What the hell do they look like...? Cause I haven't noticed anyone's sport coupes different than mine, even those that have rear spoilers (at least as far as the 'underbody kit' goes). Does anyone have comparison pics...?

Re: Titanium Trim Purchased

You can't see the underbody diffusers unless you crawl under the car. I haven't actually looked under mine. I double-checked Infiniti's specs on the website (U.S. version) before I bought my car, and as far as I can tell, the diffusers only come with the Aero Package.

The Aerodynamic Body Kit comes in a 5 piece (with spoiler) and 4 piece (without spoiler) version. Front, rear, left, and right pieces make up four, plus the spoiler, and there aren't any pieces left to account for underbody diffusers. (The 4-piece version requires the Aero Package, so if you get both, you have the diffusers.)

In the U.S., the Aero Package requires the Sport-tuned Suspension package, and the Sport package comes with the titanium trim center console.

I think gsedanman purchased the underbody diffusers for his coupe after the fact, so it should be possible to add them if you want them. I got the Aero Package because I liked the idea of the lower Cd and zero rear lift it provides, though to be honest, I doubt I'll ever actually notice the difference, as I don't go driving around at 100+mph. I did not get the body kit on my car, as I couldn't see paying an extra $2g for the eye candy, but that's just me. (Good thing, too.. I would have jacked it up this morning. I scratched the black plastic front lip on one of those parking bumpers at the Jeep dealer.. freakin' dip running through the parking spaces.)

Re: Titanium Trim Purchased

If you are wondering what the diffusers are, they are the sheets that cover the underside of your car to increase air flow and prevent the air from getting into the nooks and crannies under there and create "lift". All cars come with the diffusers under the front so if you look under the front of your car you'll see that you can't see anything because of a sheet of metal there....makes it a PITA to change your own oil too from what I hear....once you do that, check the back and see if you have one there too....gonna get dirty though.

Re: Titanium Trim Purchased

So going by the responses here and the Infiniti website...if you have the 6MT Sport Premium...the aero kit would only consist of the rear spoiler...no...?

Re: Titanium Trim Purchased

Nope. Same rules apply for the 6MT, you just get the Sport-tuned Suspension included.

I'm confused which package you're referring too.. as Infiniti calls them the "Aero Package" and "Aerodynamic Body Kit" -- saying aero kit leads to uncertainty.

Nothing consists of only a rear spoiler.

Aero Package: Rear Spoiler and Underbody Diffusers.

Aerodynamic Body Kit (5-piece): Aerodynamic Front Bumper, side sills, Rear Spoiler, and Rear Under Spoiler (bottom body-color piece).

Aerodynamic Body Kit (4-piece): same as 5-piece, sans Rear Spoiler -- because it requires the Aero Package which has the rear spoiler already.

So, if you want the body color aerodynamic trim around the bottom, get the Aerodynamic Body Kit. If you want the underbody diffusers/lower Cd/zero rear lift, get the Aero Pacakge. You can have both. All 3 setups have the rear spoiler.

The Premium Package has nothing to do with it... other than the fact that it includes the sunroof, which is probably required by one piece or another.

Go to Infiniti's build-your-own section and play with the options there. It'll tell you what each package consists of, and let you know what prerequisites there are for what you want.

Re: Titanium Trim Purchased

Just figured it out. I just noticed that you have a sedan...I think we're getting things mixed up here. When building a coupe on the Infiniti website and selecting the 6MT trim level...the colored side sills are already included...and then the aero package is just the rear spoiler and the rear underbody diffusers. Sorry for replying w/ this so many times...just wanted to get this straightened out.

Re: Titanium Trim Purchased

DOH! Nobody said "coupe" and we're not in the coupe forum. Sorry.. all my previous info applies only to the sedan. The coupe is just jacked up, if you ask me...

I've got 1-1/2 kids, so a coupe is not an option. Probably would have picked a sedan anyway, but that's just me.

After a quick peak, it looks like there is NO Aerodynamic Body Kit for the coupe. Just the Aero Package, which requires the Performance Tire & Wheel Package. Your Aero Package is the same as our Aero Package, from the description, though -- rear spoiler and underbody diffusers.

Re: Titanium Trim Purchased

we're getting off topic
stop killing my thread! haha j/k

anyways, in response to DYENBOY

just go back to teh infiniti dealership, or one with a service department, and tell them to make your console black... it's gonna cost some $$$ though, since infiniti maintenance department charges a high high high hourly rate
