I just came back from the dealer for my 2nd drivers side window motor replacement. I have an 04 with 24,000 miles and the first one crapped out at 6,000 miles. I checked the part number on the invoice and they are using the same exact part!!!!. I guess we need to change these motors on a regular basis. Why can't they supersede the part and give us something that lasts? By the way, does anyone know if it's just the motor they replace or is it part of the regulator as well. My window made some wild noises before it died. By the way, I was out of warranty and still had it done as good will.

 

You still had it done as a good will gift? Kick-a. I just bought my '03 G Coupe on friday with 45k miles on it, and now last night it took me about 3 minutes to get my window up. It's out of warranty, and I feel I'm screwed.

 

I have my '03 just about 5 years now, with no problems with window motors. After reading this, starting to feel like I'm on borrowed time...
