As far as fitment... I dont see it working without modification to the rest of the door sill...
I havent had a chance to put the old ones side to side with the CV36 illuminated ones... But I plan to next week...

I'm just wondering if there is space.
I know it won't be a direct fitment, but if I can take off the old ones and these will fit...then obviously some modifications to wiring and so forth will be needed but as long as they can fit in that space on the sill and not hang over or prevent the door from shutting....then I don't see these being an issue.

Call up Riverside and tell them to throw a pair on a used Gen1 coupe out on their lot. That will save us some headaches. That would take them 2 minutes to do for us!
If they go on nice and clean then we can say, "Hey, we have a bunch of guys on G35driver who are interested in these. How bout cutting us a deal on a group buy?"

ALSO...Kenneth at AutomotiveMods was doing illuminated door sills for Gen1 coupes at the beginning of this year, but ended up not manufacturing them. Maybe he's up for something now? We can always hit him up.

Jason, mind doing a quick test to see if they'd fit on properly and if the door would close...if they do, I wouldn't mind being a test mule and getting a set.

Agreed, the Gen2 coupe style is def a little out of synch with our interiors. This is why I was hoping Kenneth wouldve done some for us in our own Gen1 coupe's trim's style!
sorry guys its not gonna work without alot of modification...
They are about the same length but the ends are angled moreso on the G37 where the G35 are less of an angle.
The G35 bends over the side where the G37 is just flat.
The mounting points where the clips are... the g35 has 4 points across the whole panel, where the G37 has 2...
It looks like the LED section is epoxied into the plate so cant be removed without damage...

Unless they are installed OVER the factory kick plates, that is the only way I see it working... or cutting into the stock kick plates and inserting the illuminated ones completely into it...
