The sun roof trim I painted along with the other plastic parts, I used an interior trim spray paint. Sanded it down a bit first, then used an adhesion promoter.

hey steveo, did you take down those panels yourself? if so, how long did it take you? i need to take down the headliner to drill a hole for my shark fin antenna but the service manual states you have to take the side finishers and door moldings. is there an easier way?

Looks nice.

the shop sprayd some of my other tan platic with a flat black...but its real cheapy it just chips right off i need something that will bleed into the plastic..or i might hit it with a clean coat to protect it? WHat do u think i should do? Clear...would be mad shiny tho....Let me know what u guys think
If you don't want the glossy look you can use vinyl dye (sold in auto parts stores). It will soak into the plastic and is usually a flat finish. I would definitely test shoot a different piece of plastic first to see if you like the finish though.

For painting plastic/vinyl, SEM products are arguably the best you can get in an aerosol can. I haven't used it personally, but I've heard plenty of good things about it http://www.sem.ws/product.php?product_id=190

Not sure if it would work but an upholstery guy told me that they can use a rhino liner type spray that will stick to plastic. He said its tough, and doesnt look out of place. Dont know if it would work

thanks everyone for all ur comments and feedbacks. I will take them in to consideration. I still need to find something to paint the seatbelt bracket...thinking about sanding it down and then prime and then paint and them hit it down with a clear....to get rid of the shiny look ms wet sand and not buff, I was thinking clearing it bec of the part where the seatbelt is rubbing when u pull on it...ne paint or dy is going to rub off ...well see. Had it got about a week now and I love it! Looks great from the inside as we as the outside. It does look like I'm sitting in a coffin, but that's bad@ss. Haha even when I'm driving I can't help myself from rubbing the suede and feeling it up. Haha

Lets just say i have the cheap suede...it looks great and feels nice..its cslled ultra suede and from what i hear it is easyier to install bec it has more pull, for those bends...there are all types of ultra suede, i have the long hair suede, it has more of an agressive look when you whip aginst the grain, tje short hair just looks like cloth... Thats my .02
