Seat problem

Just 3 months after I had my drivers seat fixed under warranty due to the lifter TSB, it just stopped working. The right side doesn't want to move forward or backward.

Of course, it is now out of warranty.

Anyone have any idea of the cost to fix it? I can't tell if it would be covered by the extended warranty I have. It doesn't specifically state in the pamplet that it covers seats, nor does it explicitly state that it doesn't. The only mention of seats is that it doesn't cover heated seats (which I assume means the heating element).

It is a non factory warranty sold by the dealer.

try that non factory warranty route. If that fails, all parts/labor by the dealer have a 12 month warranty from the day it was installed. Even if your factory warranty is out, the work performed by the dealer is guranteed for 12 months. although the problem is different, you migth be able to argue faulty parts caused your new problem. Read the back of your invoice from the dealer, thats usually where the details about the 12 month warraty are located.

I'll look up my receipt. On a previous car, it appeared that warranty repairs were only covered until the warranty period ended.

Dealership is 200 miles away, making things difficult. Luckily, I have family there, so if I don't get a loaner, I can borrow a vehicle.

Do you have a nissan dealer closer? They might be able to do the warranty work if it is covered.
