Suede headliner / interior (56k...bad idea)

Update
Almost done, so I shot some pics in normal lighting, THIS is how the suede headliner actually looks, the visor actually matches nicely as do all the black plastic piece. No flash = no funny colors.

Update
B-quiet ultimate is now going in, I've used about 25 ft or so (10 lbs roughly) , I'm guessing it should be enough, since I still have to do the trunk. And the pics :

Update
More progress pics:

Pics really don't do this justice, the purpleish color is completely just the camera and the light reflecting, so I snapped one without flash..but yea its a bit dark, looks really sweet in person. The sun visor is actually not covered in suede...way too much work, so I painted it with a fabric/vinyl paint, matches nicely to the suede. :)

Work in progress, should all be done withing 2-3 days or so...unless the B-quiet ultimate that's still supposed to go in takes longer than expected. Anyways more pics will follow, this is just WIP.

Nice. :D A dark headliner is so much easier to live with, makes the cabin feel bigger for some reason. The FXs with the brick interior have a black headliner which sealed the deal for me to change mine.

Looks good. Are you going to paint the seat belt holders in the back seat?

JAYY-G35 Jan 2, 2008 06:51 PM

Row2k Jan 2, 2008 08:28 PM

Yeah, they are.... I just ended up unscrewing them and taping off about a 12" section of the seat belt. I pulled the seat belt all the way to where I could spray the holder outside the car. It worked for me.

The visor is actually almost identical color, but due to the flash it looks completely off, I'll shoot some pictures outdoor lighting when all is done and well, but just to give you an idea, the suede is pitch black as opposed to the purple that the pictures display. That should give an idea as to how much the camera flash distorts the colors.

BTW update up top
