Changing the cabin air filter

I got my local autoshop to replace my in-cabin air filter. They had to rip apart my entire glove box, the plastic wall under the glove box and the pillar next to the door speaker. Was that really nessesary to do? i know that some cars like lexus just have to unscrew the screw in the glove box but why is the g35x sedan so hard to replace the incabin air filter? or is there a easier way to replace? thanks

1. yes that was really necassary to do!

2. If you have any handy work under your belt you'll realize it's actually really easy.

3. Every car is different.

4. relax....you'll live longer!

PS... not trying to sound like a dick, but i just threw up off too many white russians.

is there any instructions i could get online? I dont understand why infiniti would make it so hard to change the in-cabin air filter which has to be change every 15k miles.

There is a YouTube vid of the in-cabin air filter replacement process (see link below). The procedure is the same for all sedans and coupes.
