2 Newbie Interior Questions

Hi folks,

Just purchased 04 6mt/w sport package. Love it. Going thru it mechanically, no surprises thus far. A couple of interior questions:

1) Upper glovebox lid: The cover is pulling away from the right edge. I've tried to remove the lid using instructions per the manual. Not clear to me. Anybody done this successfully? Suggestions on repair? Looks like 4 clips are supposed to hold it in place.

2) Seat Back adjustment: On my car, the power seat controls operate the lower cushion only. When I flip the front seat upper sections back to get to the rear seats, the upper seat back does not return to the previous position, and I have to manually reset it every time. Am I missing something - or is there a fix?

Thanks for your help.

Welcome to the forum.......

I'm not sure about the glove box, but I think its an easy fix....

As far as the seats, the seat backs do not return to the previous set postion, at least not in my 04' either.

Its a pain, but I'm pretty use to it after all this time. I don't know if the newer models have that feature either....would think they might since the new G's have the memory setting..

I have an 04 6mt as well, and the upper part of the seat is always manual. The only like return to the previous position is I think just the distance away from the steering wheel you are in terms of where you are sitting on the lower part. I think the design of the non-returning upper part is because of it being a coupe, and it would just be faster for the top part to sling forward instantly when someone in the back wants to get out.
