g35 service manual pdf/zip
#16
I'm new to this forum so I apologize if posting in wrong place. I own a G35 2006. I have been looking everywhere how to remove the center cover to get the Yaw Sensor and replace the sensor but I can not find a youtube video or anything on how to remove the cover. I even started to look for diagrams for some clues as how I might remove and thus came to this post on the manuals but I cannot find any manuals for free that have how to get to the Yaw Sensor. I'm sorry about posting on here but I'm not sure how to start a help thread. Any help on how to remove the cover to get to sensor is greatly appreciated, link, pics or anything will be of great help. PMs are cool too. Thank you for your help.

It's going to be hard to find a free version, unless someone's willing to send you a copy. But it's too big a file to be sent on here

Thanks for the reply. It is a 2006 G35 sedan. I was able to figure it out tho. The mechanic wanted over $1300 for parts and labor. I had problems with the VDC SLIP light being on after an impact. Almost gave up and was going to pay a mechanic to help remove the cover over the Yaw Sensor. Couldn't find anywhere any info on disassembling/removing the armrest to get to the Yaw sensor. You have to open the armrest and remove the air vent cover to expose 6 screws, which hold the armrest in place. I also took several other screws out, but those were the ones that were not visible and therefore preventing me from removing the armrest cover in order to get to the Yaw Sensor. I replaced the Yaw sensor, which has two screws holding it in place, and the lights went off. This I can say it takes less than 1 minute to replace the Yaw sensor, but it was a headache to figure out how to get to it, especially with no youtube videos showing how to diseassmebol console and armrest. Wish I would of filmed it and put it on youtube. Oh well, maybe next time. One good thing was I found this forum and became a member. Next project, upgrading my stereo, maybe putting in one with a nice screen

Your mechanic wanted $1300 to replace a yaw sensor?
Get a new mechanic. Preferably, yourself. I've discovered that every time I let someone else touch one of my cars, they either a) screw something up, b) charge me a kidney, or c) all of the above.
Unless you're rolling in disposable income, it's really not worth letting someone else do the work. This stuff isn't difficult, though some tasks can be time-consuming. A car is basically a big-*** LEGO set. You just have to get into the mindset of the guys that designed and manufactured it, and have good documentation. A factory service manual is well worth the money if you have to buy one.
In other news: the local Infiniti dealer said they had no idea how I could buy a legitimate FSM for my '06 coupe. So, Nissan has taken away the PDFs on NICOclub, and does not provide an alternative.
*******s.

This couldn't be more true. It's usually letter a for me. Though my mechanic gives me a very fair rate for labor, he doesn't torque things down or even look at torque specs I believe. I let him do my rear brakes when he had my car last and I stripped the damn slide pin bolt which should only be torqued to 32 ft lbs. He had to use an impact gun on those things

Available for download here:
https://www.nicoclub.com/infiniti-service-manuals
If you want the whole manual, download them all into the same folder, then start with the table of contents (fwd.pdf) file. Each section name in the TOC is a clickable link and will automagically take you to that chapter.
