Exclamation Changing Rear Seat Console ?

Im really disgusted of the center console in my G35 coupe, i think they should of put more thought and time into it, but i want to change it, like just have a leather padding, instead of some plastic looking surface -_-

Has anyone had an idea to change it?

and is the center console removable from the seats ?

And how should i go about changing it to just a leather pad ?

I want it to go from this

im prett sure its 1 whole solid thing...the center is attached to the bucket seats...if anything throw some thin padding over the top and upholster it, but if u do that u lose the place for your first aid kit thats under that cardboard thing in the middle

That would be a unique idea, good luck with it...

My first aid kit has velcro on the back it so I attach it to the sides in my trunk...out of the way but within easy reach..

ya that is a good idea the piece is attached to the seat so it would be best to take the whole assembly out then work on it out of the car

the rear center console is not attached to the seats as i have changed mine from stone color to black...took about 15 minutes for a first timer...you must first remove the entire bottom portion of the rear seats, once it is out look at the underneath side and you will see a metal bar that the console clips onto simply push it up and it will unclip....also try to PM rugrat as he customized a solid cushion like you are talking about as oppossed to the console
