Heated seats don't feel like they work as they should.
I think i read there was a TSB on this but couldn't find anything.
My heated seats in my '06 act funny. I can't vouch for the passenger side, but the driver's side feels like it doesn't work consistenly.
First off, is it tied into the climate control system? When i put it on high, the only time i really feel it get hot enough to start to be uncomfortable is when i have the heat cranked to 90*. If i have it at a lower setting, say 75 degrees, it gets warm, but nothing even barely noticable.
If that's true, then it kinda sticks i can't get a toasty backside without having the heat cranking...or it could be a coincidence that it feels hot when i'm cranking the heat

There are two settings low and hi, and it cycles on and off which is kind of annoying, I wish there was a way to bypass that :-/
I don't think its linked to the climate control system though.

G35's aren't the only cars that turn on and off. Once it reaches a certain temp it turns off for a while and will turn back on later (altough it takes a while to do this).
My TL use to the same thing.
I think it's for safety issues.

The seats are thermostatically controlled based on the two heat settings. That's normal. Not having it turn off at some point would be dangerous.

It goes to 95-113 then it turns off. When it hits 77-95 it turns back on. I thought it was an issue but I checked the FSM and found out it was normal. As for it feeling warmer when climate is set to 90, your mind just playing tricks on you.
I sell GM cars and you are right, the heated seats get crazy hot. It's nice at first to get them hot fast but after that I have to turn them down. I think the seats in the G's should have been marketed as "slighty warmed" but not "heated."
