nope you have to remove the whole center console...from the inside of the console lid it should just pop upwards....you need to have your shirter in neutral with the **** taken off...should be able to pull the silver piece down adn see a pin in there..take a small flat head and just pop the pin out and the shifter should release. once released there should be at least 3-4 connectors you undo...heated seats has 2, shifter panel lighting, cigarette lighter and the plug for the emergency flashers.....once those are removed it should just pull out...you then will access the screws on the bottom side and it should be self explanatory from there.

i have the double din so maybe it's different. all i did was put it in neutral, remove the shifter. pop off the center.....without unplugging anything i just turned it sideways and unscrewed the plate...installed the boot...and put everything back together. once i figured out how to take it apart...which was just pulling...lol...everything was easy.

yeah I have a double din kit as welll but it just pulls out..the double din kit doesnt connect to the center console area...thats a seperate piece. I took mine off to work on it because I have done it plenty of times and its easy for me.
