My dad is 6'8" and he used to drive 240z 280z ' 86 300z 5spd
and currently a '95 300z auto ( he can work a clutch in that model year). He would consider a G35c if he can fit. Currently the seat position doesn't allow this.

However, I noticed there is still a lot of space behind the seat after it is moved all the way back.

Can the seat rails be modified by a custom shop? How much might that cost? Does it void the warranty? Can it be done safely? If it can be done how do I find a reputable place in Virginia Beach & or Mid Atlantic area?

 

I am working on that now with my sedan (10 way adjustable power seat) driver seat. I am limited in my head room. the seat is on the floor of my garage. I will try some stuff this weekend. If he only needs a half inch or so you could elongate the holes. this is not the safest route, but it could work.

i will also pull up the carpet and sound deadening material to see if you can drill and tap new holes (may require welding)
