Seat "Exit Assist Feature" with engine running?

Seat "Exit Assist Feature" with engine running?
Can anyone tell me how to enable the seat "exit assist feature" so that it will operate with the engine running?
I find it very helpful and REALLY want to change it so that it operates without turning off the engine or removing the key.
Often I want to get out with the engine running and the car in PARK for mailing a letter or warming up the car in the wintertime, but the seat wont move unless the engine is stopped. How can I override or bypass this aspect so that the seat will move back whenever the door is opened, engine running or not?
