Heated Seat Switch

This isn't a question of how to change the bulbs but rather if something is wrong with the switch or seats themselves.

Got a bit chilly last night and hit the switch the hotter setting. There are two lights, top of the switch and the bottom. Whether I push the top or bottom down, both times only the bottom light will illuminate. This happens on both the passenger and driver side switches.

Is this an indication of some electrically wrong with the switch or the seats only heating on the lower setting? Either way, this doesn't seem normal as why would they have two spots on the switch for lights but only one light up!

Cheers.

P.S. This is on an 06' 6MT coupe.

EDIT: Just got thinking here...Does it have to do with the ambient temperature or temperature setting you have in the cabin? Would seem really bizarre to not let you control high/low since it is a manual push button.

...there is only one light...the white bars on the top and bottom of the switch, one is bigger than the other and that indicates the heat level, so pushing down on the bigger bar, you get full heat and pushing down on the smaller bar u get half heat, the light just indicates that the switch is on no matter what direction
