05' coupe front seats dont move forward/backward
I just purchased an 05' G35 and the front seats are full power and heated. The heater works and the back part of the seats lean forward and backward. But the seats will NOT move forward or back. Im new to these cars and don't know if it's a fuse or relay or straight up the motor. But it makes no noise at all or anything. Almost like the switch isn't connected. Any input would be great. Thanks!
Fuses or Motors
dfwgsx,
Unfortunately you have to take it in to check (or get in to the relays with a galvanometer). The seats have multiple motors and fuses. In my car, I don't have tilt/recline capability with both my driver and passenger seats. My driver's seat is a fuse problem. My passenger's seat is a motor out.

Oh okay, So should I take the whole seat out to check that them? Where are the fuses and relays located. I read somewhere that if you push on the switch and tap on the motor if the motor is going out it will move while you hit it. I tried that and nothing happened. No sounds I tried touching the motor with my finger while I pushed the switch and couldn't feel any movement. So it's almost as if it's just flat not getting any power to it.
This was a year or so ago... I think I was having the manual transmission fluid changed. It's a synthetic, so unless you get it specially, not all non-Nissan garages have it... so I just did it at the dealership. While there, I complained about my seat issues, so they took a look. Of course they quoted like $800 for the seat with the fuse issue, and $1100 for the one with the motor issue; so I said NO! But the diagnostic was free
