If you wanna see it just check the Sedans..
It is far more common for them, and looks acceptable just cos its a sedan..
By the way the wood is real wood and it has a very nice color to it..
Also the aluminum is real, just like the bmw's ..
I think they had painted plastic, that looked like aluminum before 06' models..
Can somebody confirm this?
And I test drove a 05' before getting an 06' and the interior is much much nicer on the 06's

Actually, the '05 models came with real aluminum and wood as an option. I waited for '05 just for the upgraded interiors. The '05 and '06 interiors are nearly identical. Prior to 2005, the interiors had painted plastic that looked horribly cheap for a car in this class.

No, no, no, it's not plastic, it's genuine wood, not advocating getting it as an option, but it's not plastic! I had the wood package on my '04, it was different though, birdseye maple. And the interior in the '06 is the same as the '05, and yes, it is real aluminum.

try to get the JDM wood--at least for the dash and center console --looks real cool. to bad the window switches are different. Nice combo alum. and wood on wheat leather.

These cars can look totally different...

A coworker of mine has a white sedan w/ wood trim, tan interior, no tint....it looks like a nice entry lux car. Mine is LP with black interior, alum trim and 20% tint....it looks much sportier.

Another coworker of ours did not even realize we had the same car.

I too feel the wood trim looks terrible w/ dark or stone interior. Looks OK w/ the tan though.

I think its the same rosewood used in the M so no its not fake plastic wood. It does look pretty good with wheat interior from what ive seen. It looks okay with black and looks off with stone
