small red light on door <<PIC>>

small red light on door <<PIC>>

there is a small red light at the bottom of the door. i never see it go on and i find find that light in the owner's manual. so can u guys please tell me what is that light and when does it go on?

It's just a red reflector. I've heard of some guys changing it into a light.

ooo, ic. its there so that when u park on the street and open the door at night, other drives will see that light and know that something is there. ic, thats cool.

i think every car has this light and obviously it's for safety reasons.

yea its just a reflector...........i remember seeing some guy turned it into a light........it didnt look too bad

Only the original first batch G35C had these back in 2002. Then Nissan decided to save $0.75 per car and took them out.

Don't all coupes have that reflector? At least my 05 does and the pic of that 06 does too. Unless you're referring to yours lighting up. If so, could we just replace our reflectors with the older one? There's another post btw very similar to this one... sorry for double replying.

it's pretty inexpensive and takes little time to install. It turns on and off automaticly when the doors are opened or closed. You can't see the light strip unless you lay down on the floor. When they are on all you see is a slight red glow on the asphalt (the led's and the light strip are hidden from view). I'll take some pictures and post them soon.
