some minor interior work

I've had a few requests for pics of the M45 shift ****. My picture hosting server has been flaky recently.

I previously had polished the metal shift trim piece, but sometimes I would get glare from the sun, so I ended painting it. I do miss the shiny metal at times, though.

I usually never do interior mods, but I thought I'd do a little here and there, trying to keep everything looking OEM.

The chrome ring is part of the ****. The **** and the boot I bought from everythingnissan.com. I had to call them up, because back when I did this mod, they didn't list the parts on their website. I think everything was about $100 shipped.

Good to see you around, Devil Dog.

Arrow M45 shift ****

E_K, is there a button on the front of the M45 shift ****? I can't tell from any of the pictures.

I'm thinking about swapping the M45 shift **** onto my 6mt. Any idea on whether it would work or not?

Button is in the front of the shift ****.

I would go with a true manual shift **** for a 6MT, this is really more for the automatics.

I wrote up a DIY in one of my previous threads, I don't have the link, but it's somewhere on this forum.

i found the DIY. it involves surgical "sutres"? and emergency room shears!

other than that, it seems like a very inexpensive upgrade while keeping the OEM looks.

The sutures are very strong, and they were easier to work with than fishing wire, since they already have a needle on the end. But I have a bunch of extra needle holders, clamps, etc. They work very well.
