Steering wheel plastic piece.

I just broke the gray plastic piece that houses the cruise control/volume control and I was wondering if anyone ever got that part replaced and how much it costs.. here's a picture of it:

He's got an 05 but I'd still go back to the dealer and see if they will fix for free. If not, it's probably a $5-$10 part.

I have a JDM steering wheel for sale. Although it has blanks on either side of the airbag inflator module. This pic is with the USDM airbag inflator module cover.

Optional
From what I recall, someone inquired about this as the 2005's hit the streets. Being that they are different from the 03-04 switches (beginning in '05 they are backlit) they are now available, each side, as an individual part.

Someone please confirm. I'm almost 100% certain of this. I specifically remember the thread because owners of other Nissan products had complained about the silver finish wearing off and I was not looking forward to paying an arm and a leg to replace worn-out-looking steering wheel controls!

Well like I've said in the previous posts.. I went to the stealership yesterday and the manager told me that it's not covered under warranty and they would have to order a whole new steering wheel (and this time I got quoted $800). I was talking to the mechanic who did my oil change and he said the 05-06 steering wheels are different from the 03-04's (slightly) and does not come as parts.. basically told me the same thing.. but he said I should try searching for a steering wheel at a junk yard or ebay (without an airbag since that's the most expensive part)...
