Strange bubble on driver seat.
HA HA!!!
I just went and checked. On both seats, there are two (front and rear) holes to access the screws that hold that plastic surround on. These holes are covered with matching vinyl-like material (like tape or a vinyl sticker) simply to hide the holes.
While heat could cause that vinyl-like material to bubble out, it wouldn't have to be much heat. Likewise, a little air forced toward that spot (like when sitting down) looks like it could cause the material to bubble out if warm.
Look closer. I was a little surprised at how cheap it looks. Seems like matching interior plugs would have been a good idea.
Mine are flush still, with just enough recess to tip you off that holes are being covered.

:-) I agree with you on how cheap that is. Once I noticed this, I did look closer and definitely saw that's it's just a cover for a screw that's underneath. Also, I've thought about the heat issue, and truly hope it's not that. What's frustrating about this whole thing is that the car has barely been driven at only 550 miles. - I would think nothing should've caused this at such a young stage.
