Aftermarket seats & airbag sensor

Any G owners who have replaced their factory seats with aftermarket ones, do you have any issue with the airbag sensor/warning lights?

They don't know! Neither does JDMV35!

So apparently everybody with aftermarket seats just lives with having the entire airbag system disabled because the SRS system can tell the OEM seats are unplugged???

I believe there is a way to correct the airbag light from turning on. BINFINITE has the light come on after he swapped seats, and I believe he mentioned there was a way to bypass it.

I'm not so much worried about just turning the warning light off... I want to know if the rest of the system will still be functional - steering wheel, curtain, passenger front, etc.

yes it will work because basically the resistor is simulating as if the airbag was there. If the light is blinking, the airbag system is diabled. That's basically the whole point of the resistor.

Cool, thanks! Looks like it's time to go seat shopping, and stop at Radio Shack on the way home!

I cant even begin to imagine the civil and possibly criminal liability involved in removing an airbag if a passanger is injured in a crash.....
