Re: G35 Clearance light question

I used the Extreme Whites and it matches darn near perfectly.

Re: G35 Clearance light question

I also had the extreme white wedge bulb for the clearance bulbs. I actually didn't like the color that much. They were just a little too purple for me. You could see the filament inside the bulb and that was the only part that was really white. The rest of the bulb had a dark purple hue. I'm going to try out the PIAA white LED's. I'll have them on Monday, along with the Plasma GT-X and can post pics if you want.

Re: G35 Clearance light question

How much trouble was it to replace the clearance bulbs?
Where did you buy them?

Has anyone tried Polarg bulbs?

Re: G35 Clearance light question

i just put the PIAA Xtreme white bulbs in my Clearance lights, I also have them in the clear corners. The ones in the Clearance lights seem too blue to me, but the same bulbs look much less blue in the clear corners and seem to go good with the HID headlights. I think its something to do with the way the lens is on the clearance lights. I'll try to post some pictures.

...its not that hard to replace them, about 8 clips, 8 bolts and a couple screws to remove the wheel well panel. I did it without taking off the wheels, just turned them to get access. I got the PIAA bulbs locally at a truck options store.

Replacing the clearance bulbs is a bit of a pain, but not that hard. You have to remove the wheel skirts, and turn the steering to give yourself room to access to the bulb cluster. Even with all that off, it's still a process of feeling around a little, because you cant see the clearance bulb fixture very well. It took me about 45 minutes to do both sides. 30 minutes for the first side, then 15 for the second side having learned the process.

Re: G35 Clearance light question

Hey Red,
I noticed the same thing. I think it might be due to the fact that only the brightest part of the bulb shows through the clear corners while the rest of the bulb surface doesn't.

Any problems with the cops on the white clear corners? I want to change out the amber bulbs in mine but I don't need any more attention.

no, i would be amazed if the cops in my area even knew my clear corners were not stock.

I am much more concerned about being pulled over for the blue look on the clearance lights from the PIAA bulbs.
