Bro...Don't start...I didn't recommend him not to go with the 8000k. It's not rumors. Base on physics of light it's true. Even if you believe it or not. I didn't say you can't see sheit...the only thing i said is you do lose useable light. I should have said you will lose SOME useable light going higher up in temperature compared to the lower temp bulbs that the human eye can pick up...

He was asking why so we gave him an answer. I personally like the 6000K bulbs they are higher then the stock because of the color. And you gave the guy an opinion not telling him why. I just told him why. I didn't say i don't recommend it...

4300K will give you the best output. Go on one of those roads out in the boondocks where there are no city street lights. Put a 4300K bulb in one headlight, and a 8000K in the other headlight, and go drive on that road. The lights will somewhat overpass each other, but you will see the world of difference in the length of beam in the 4300K, it will murder the 8000K. If you live out in the city and good visibility isnt really required, sure go ahead and put some 8000K's in, they do look nice. One thing tho, 8000K is hot with cops...so if you are pulled over because of the excessive blue color coming out of your headlights, dont be too surprised...

If you want the best visibility, don't buy bulbs higher than 4300K. They have too much blue light and it is very difficult for the eye to focus on blue light. That's why high end sunglasses will filter out much of the blue spectrum.

Even between 4300K and 6000K there is a BIG difference. The 4300K are far superior color wise and they put out abut 3200 lumens while the 6000K bulbs put out about 2400 lumens.

8K's are horrible for what HID's are suppose to perform like. the 8k's are brighter than most halogen systems out there, but it lights up everything blue, which makes it harder to distinguish things on the road. If you guys really want the color effect get some projectors, just don't take the ricer shortcut.

what it comes down to...get projector fitted with 4300K, it will give you the blue color from the cutoff and visibility at times where you most need it like rainy nights.
