adjust level of 05-06 sedan headlights?
Hey, does anyone know if its possible to adjust the level of the low beams?
Ever since I lowered my car (lowered front more) it seems as though my low beams are too low.

^ ... no its been like this. Its just starting to bug me. When I drive on the freeway I compare how high and far my lights are shining to everyone else, and they look a little too low.

^ So I guess the adjustment controls the whole headlight then, which is fine since everything went a bit lower due to the drop. Thanks, I'll have to check this out when I get some time.
There are two adjusters for each headlight. The other is on the back side of the assembly about midway down. It is a 10mm bolt head that sticks out anout 3/4 inch. It may have a rubber cap glued on it courtesy of your uncle in D.C. The cap can be pried off with pliers but you may want to slide it back on when you're done or your dealer may do you the favor.
This adjuster moves the beam diagonally while the other (phillips) moves it up and down.
The problem you'll son discover is that the high and low bems share a single reflector unit and they cannot be adjusted independently (if not my greatest frustration with the G, it's tied for first along with the tranny lever that moves to the PASSENGER side to access manumatic). So when you get the fogs where they belong, the main beams will be in everyone's eyes and when you get the main beams in the right place, the high beams will be only a little in front of them and on dark roads, you will be out-driving your lights at 50 mph.
I literally wore out the plastic plillips adjuster before I accepted the fact that this design error was real.

^ thanks for the info. Since I only use the low beam (fogs only in the rain) I should be ok if I adjust the philips?

In my experience, there is only one way to adjust headlights, and it's not the 25' target approach. I find a dark, quite road where I can stop the car and cover one headlight while I adjust the other.
One of the problems (and I find this a tad amusing) is that many people on there forums don't seem to know what dark is because of where they live. My sister was recently up visiting from Houston and one night we were returning to my place after dark. She made some remark to the effect that she had never seen a totally dark road before and thought it was somewhat frightening. I reminded her that people don't put bars on their first floor windows around here, but I don't think it clicked!
In any event, lights are a very significant issue in rural areas while in the big cities, they tend to become expressions of style.

I havent had the time to try adjusting the headlight yet. I need to drive out to a dark unlit area with a long flat road. I want to get one of my bros to come and help... its scary.
