The g35 comes stock with xenons if you have a 2004. The 2003's came with xenon as an option. If you happen to have a 2003 without the HID, yes, there are hid kits. They are fairly expensive, if I recall correctly around $1000 or so. I'll see if I can dig up some links..

When I was shopping for my 2003 G I was told HIDs were standard. Maybe the dealer was wrong, or maybe it was just the 03 sedans that didn't have them standard.

Re: hid headlight conversions?

You must be talking about the Sedan......because all the coupes came standard with HID's, my base coupe states "High-Mounted HID xenon headlights" as Standard Equipment, on the window sticker.

Next time be more specific about whether you're talking about the sedan or coupe, its less confusing for everyone.

Re: hid headlight conversions?

I'm sure when he refers to "HID" he's refering to Projectors. Alll g35's have Reflector-type housings. If you have ever seen a newer BMW or Audi in your rear view, you know how it looks like it'll be pure white then shift to blue then shift to other colors. That's what a projector-type housing will do.

350z's have a semi-projector. It's really a reflector housing like our, but has a lense in the front that focuses the beam.

To answer your question, there are no kits out right now that will put projector's on our car. I think clearcorners.com is coming out with one, though.

Socalted -

I replaced my stock fog with Sylvania Silverstars. They look quite a bit better. They don't match the xenons as close as I'd like, but they definitely are brighter and whiter than the stock. I got a pair of them for $40, took 10 minutes to install.

Re: hid headlight conversions?

I have a 2003 Sedan with no factory HID, I bought a convertion kit you can find them on Ebay the bulb type is H1 I paid 365.00 shipped and installed it myself.
They look great mines are 600ok you shouldn't buy any conversion kit over 7000k higher K much color but less lumens.
My kit comes with hella ballast the same on BMW and Mercedes I have them for about 6 months with no problem.
I bought the kit from Jose Solano solano1082@aol.com contact him maybe he still have on stock.
