Has anyone driven in the rain with the Philips 6000k and '06 projectors? The rainy season is about to come for me and up until now I have yet to drive in the rain with them. I have heard that the output is not that great in the rain.

go with ultinons or piaa. best 200 bucks ever spent!
ive heard generic brands do burn out easier and faster, but occasionally you get people that buys them and they last a long time.

The off brands are no where near as bright. I have had generic 8000k, 6000k and phillips 6000k D2R bulbs, the phillips are much brighter and still have a great color.

When I did my S2000 retorfit I tried 5000k phillips bulbs and they are a little brighter but don't have the color so I again went back to the 6000k. They are just great bulbs and worth every cent.

As for rain, snow or fog I added the Piaa 2500k yellow high/fog bulbs. They work wonders in wet conditions.

^^i cant vouch for the longevity of generic bulbs but i can vouch for the brightness and color of yume's generic bulbs. his are whiter than my 6000k ultionons

but i still have no regrets with my purchase

With that being said, anyone know where I can pick up a pair for a good price?

thats what i have, yes. but you have an 04 so you need H4 bulbs

actually, mike. since you use H4 bulbs, i would highly suggest getting caps. these are much much more yellow than the piaas i have. also much cheaper

examples of h4 yellow caps:
