I know it's been asked over and over, but what temp bulb BEST matches the stock HID's? I've read 4100K and 6000K. Also, does anyone know if white bulbs are illegal in the corners?

 

I believe that the stock HIDs are actually rated at 4800K. Because halogen bulbs at that and higher temperatures use a coating to produce the colour, they may or may not match.

If by corners you mean the sidemarkers, then if you have clear corners with white lights, it is illegal. The side markers are technically illegal even with amber lights in clear lenses, because they don't reflect amber. Of course, whether or not a cop bothers to pull you over and write a ticket for it is a whole separate issue.

I put PIAA extreme whites (168 wedge) in place of the clearance lights, they match the HID very well. For fogs, I used Sylvania Silverstars. The are supposedly the whitest haolgen you can get, but they still look pretty yellow against the HID in my opinion. Not much you can do about it other than upgrade your fogs to HID if you want a perfect match.
