Hello All,

I got in my car last night and drove to the local Subway restaurant. Everything was fine, until i turned my car off and got out. I noticed my parking lights were on(the lights where you turn the light switch one notch). I also noticed this only happened i took the key out of the ignition, not while it was in. The car also seemed to be laboring when i would turn it on. Meaning it seemed to take an extra second or two to turn on. I let my car idle for 30 minutes thinking it was the battery. This made the car sound better and like normal when i turned it on, but the lights still stay on when i take the key out. Sometimes it stays on sometimes it doesn't, but more times than not. Also i was driving and wanted to go in manu-matic mode or tiptronic mode. Nothing happened, it just stayed in D. I have an 04' Automatic Coupe. Never had this problem before, just wondering if anyone knows whats up or had a similar experience. My Infiniti dealer said to bring it in, but I can't until Monday.

heyyyyyyyyyyy.... the same thing happened to me last night. i will have to wait to take it in to the dealer on friday. how was this whole thing resolved for you?? thanks!

 

if you guys have DRL (daytime running lights) I can tell you its probably your module thats gone. Mine went and was draining my battery, and it was hard to tell because I'd park it during the day and it wouldnt be obvious that my lights were still on.

anyways dealer replaced the DRL module and she's tip-top!
