Has anyone experienced when your turn signal still flashes but it doesnt make the clicking noise? i had that a few times and i took it to the dealership and they dont know what it is. It also makes a very weird noise when i forget to turn off my lights. Its really weird! anything?

Yeah, my car does it too sometimes, it will blink, but no clicking noise. When I brought my car in for an oil change, I reported it to the service fella, and of course if it can't be recreated, they wont be able to determine the problem, even after test driving the darn thing. The other problem I was experiencing is when after driving periods of time, reaching whatever destination, parking the car, and taking the key out it would make a screeching noise. This noise would not go away, until I put back the key into the ignition, turn it for the dc power to turn on, and then it would go away. This happens every so often. My car has experienced minor problems with the cabin electronics. Like another issue I have is with the Console display for the AC, it goes crazy, the numerical digits go crazy or haywire like in the movie the Ring. I've reported this issue everytime I bring the car in for service. This happens usually after a car wash, the service department has yet to recreate this issue, even after they have washed the car as well. It's just my luck. I read somewhere way earlier in the forums other's are experiencing this same issue, and that there was a TSB out for this to replace a circuit board, I've brought this to the service departments attention, and they state they don't know of any TSB for it. It seems I will be living with this problem every so often. I wish I can get these "MINOR" issues resolved.

i see i see....well atleast i know another person that has the same problem as i do. They gave me a loaner for a couple of days because they're doing some stuff to mine....even the loaner did it while i had it. I just wish that it happens when i take it in to the dealership. Any of my problems always seem to dissapear when i take it to the dealership. even brake squeeking and alignment! its weird! but thanks for your help!

My coupe does this too. Maybe we should gather some names and vins and sent a letter to NNA. I don't think they know that this problem is as widespead as it is.

 

There is a TSB for this:

ITB 03-055 (Aug 20 '03)

BUZZ SOUND FROM METER CLUSTER AFTER IGNITION KEY
IS TURNED OFF / TURN SIGNAL AND WARNING CHIME DO NOT SOUND

 

2 things....what exactly does TSB stand for? and if they dont know how to fix this then maybe we should gather some people and write to them. It really bothers me for some reason when this happens!

TSB = technical service bulletin = known issue = they know exactly how to fix it.

 

I'm gonna bring the car in in a week or so and see if they now anything about this tsb. I couldn't really do anything before because it's hard to recreate.

 

i talked to Dave from Willow Grove Infiniti today and he tells me that he's gonna get on it right away! He said when he gets back into work (after Christmas) he will call me and bring me in to the dealership right away to get my problem fixed. i'm actually quite happy that this problem can finally be solved!

TheWorm, where did you find that TSB? I've been scouring the net for more information, so I can show it to the darn service department, because it seems my service dealership has no clue whatsoever.

I had downloaded it from Infiniti's tech site when I had a 1-day pass to d/l the service manual. An excerpt is also available on the NHTSA site but no scan there, yet.

If you want to shoot me an email I'd be happy to email you the whole bulletin (it's only 2 or 3 pages). But the ITB # should be sufficient for your dealer to look it up (actually, just mentioning the problem should clue in the dealer, but...)
