headlight bulb suggestions and pics

Hey everyone. I am i looking to upgrade my headlights with new bulbs. I want to make them all the same color, and remove the amber bulb as well.

I think that it would beneficial for many if those of you that have upgraded your headlights, post pics, WITH, the model of each bulb and good descriptions of your mods.

Since i have a black g, i'm also looking to paint within my housing. anyone have a tutorial or know of one?

post those headlightsssssss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Philips 6000k are one of the best to get a little more color but keep good output.

Check my link in my sig for pics.

You have to let us know what year of G you got, for us to tell you what bulb type to use.

Well like ttrank said, the philips 6000k (D2R as used in the 03s) are probably the best for your low beams. I got the Piaa Xtreme Force H4 (H247 bulb #) for my fog/headlights which are amazing, they give off a blueish white light, and even when the bulb is off you can still see a blue glare in the headlight.

stock is best for performance, phillips ultinons 6000k may "look good" but be ready to sacrifice 25% of your light output for a little bit of color.

That is true, I say stay with your stock low beams, and change your fogs/headlights.

I have the 5000k Phillips. They are perfect.

This guy is a very reputable ebayer. http://stores.ebay.com/HID-CONCEPT_W...Q3amesstQQtZkm

FYI, those "5000k" philips aren't actually 5000k, they are 4200k, and come stock on some of the 06's already, 85122+ are not 5000k colormatch bulbs, but colorshift resistant versions of the 85122, that myth about them being 5000k has already been disproven, but the false info keeps getting spread around

IMO, they are the best bulbs out there, just not 5000k, they have a higher output than the original 85122's by a few hundred lumens, and hold their brightness for a longer portion of their lifetime. Its the bulbs I run, and I'm perfectly satisfied with them, just don't expect any blue color from them and they are great
