got my headlight recall work done.

had my car in for service and the service manager had the headlight recall work done while the car was there. my opinion of the new housing is that the lights seem more focused and brighter on the road. the two angle lines on the cutoffs seem closer together. anyone else have this done yet?

all it was is adjusted...I can't believe how much money they spent for that...it's easier to replace than make everyone adjust the headlights

What exactly do they do for the recall? I have LED signals with resistors installed, will they have to mess w/my stuff to perform the work, or is it just a matter of a bulb change and re-aim?

Thanks.

they replace the whole housing. they use your ballast and bulb from your old set. so you should tell them to keep you old harness as well.

my dealer put the led citylights i had into the new housing and installed a pair of sylvania silverstars i hadn't had time to put in myself. just make sure you make note of everything to your service manager.

also, i've seen a couple threads stating that the recall is for the purposes of making the light less bright. in my opinion, the results of the recall are 100% better than the way the headlights were before. the illumination pattern and brightness in much better in front of the car. the highbeams actually look brighter than they were before, and the lights just seem more focused on the road.
