Headlights question
Headlights question
I just did the recall on headlights but the new lights seem to be shooting too hight. If I distance myself about 1 to 2 carlenghts from the car in front of me, my cut off line seems to be on back window of the car in front of me. Also one side seems to be higher than the other. Called the dealer, they told me that there is no ajustmen for the beam just the screws that hold the light. Is this true? or should I try another dealer.
Also did anyone noticed that that the headlights on G are scraping the paint of the body of the car. I have noticed on mine and another G that top point of light fixture is rubbing on the body and stripped the paint to bare metal. It is very small area but rust does,nt need much.

i just installed my new 06 headlights a few days ago and i didnt see any sort of adjustment mechanism on it... i took a good look at the whole thing while i was throwing on my old ballasts... one thing i didnt notice with the lights tho, if the all the tabs aren't torqued correctly your lighting will be off because the entire headlight is sitting at an awkward angle... i'd say have the dealer check their install work
See, after my headlight recall, mine are all over the place too. Ive already taken back once to have them realigned but theyre still shooting too high, one side higher than oher.
Is there ANY WAY to ensure this is done correctly?

There is a way to adjust the lights, you'll need to use a long Philips screwdriver to do it. Check your owner's manual, I can't remember exactly where it's at but there's a hole near your lights that you can insert the screwdriver in to adjust them. My brother and I did it on his 06 coupe last summer.

i messed with the one screw that is at the very bottom right next to where the hid bulb goes. and then the other screw that is in the middle that has like a sun shine effect around the screw.
