they do not fit the sedan, they are completely different shaped lights between the coupe and sedan.

Help!

I'm finally installing my '06 headlamps and am having a problem.

I just pulled out the old '03 headlamps (which were only connected by one harness). I noticed there are three harness plugs on the '06 headlamp assemblies. But only one on my old '03 headlamps. So I plugged in the one '06 harness (the biggest one, which is the only one of the three that will fit) and only the small city light works. Nothing else.

What am I missing? Do I need to hook up those other two harnesses to something? Maybe some hidden harness somewhere?

Thanks
B

What??? 3 plugs? No there should be only ONE male plug on the headlight left for you to plug directly onto your car. All the other plugs are ones that you plug into bulb on the headlights or straight into the ballast. Take a good look at the back of the headlight and make sure you have all plugs plugged in except for the big one (which is just a big socket not a plug) that goes directly onto the plug from your car. I did mines the other day on my 05 but it took some wiggling on one side to fit because I was in a front end collision on that side. Also installed an 6000k HID conversion on the fogs and they look nice. They make the projectors look a bit yellow though. Good luck.

Yeah I figured it out. Once I moved the ballasts over to the new headlamps, those other two "plugs" went right into the ballasts. Works great now. I put in the Luminics JDM Yellow H1 fogs too. I'll be putting in the Philips 85122cm 4800k D2S bulbs in the next week or so for a more pure white HID look...here are some pics.

Thanks,
B

Nice. I hope you enjoy them. Good luck with the 85122cm's. I may get the phillips ultinon's to match my fogs. How did you get your hands on a pair of those bulbs anyway?

Which bulbs? The 85122cm? Got a GB going with XenonFactory...they're one of the few vendors who actually carry them.

Take care,

I'm thinking about buying the 06 headlight housing with projectors for my 03 coupe. Will I need 06 ballast, bulbs, etc? Or is everything usable from my stock 03 coupe?

All I will need to get is the 06 headlight housing withe projectors right? Thanks.

I'm not sure if I read this right, but there is no difference between bulbs used from 2004 to 2006 setup, whats the difference between the headlight units itself? Is 2004-2006 the same and pre-04 different? I am trying to understand why everyone is upgrading to 2006 light set ups. Sorry.

the info is wrong.

04 has D2R HID bulbs for low beam, dual filament H4s for foglight and high beam
06 has Bi-Xenon projector using D2S bulbs which includes low and high beam, foglight is just H1 bulb single filament.

the turnsignal on 04 is dual filament 7443
the turnsignal on 04 is single filament 7440

Another question since you seem to be on the ball with the subject.

I was considering going to the 06-07 projector set up myself... And reading it seems the Canadian car (mine) is different from the US with the daytime running lights wiring.

IF I could find a wrecked 06 or 07 in Canada and buy the projectors for my 2004 model coupe, would the units just swap in and out no extra messing around seeing as they are both Canadian?

Thanks

In short yes.

Because the DRL the wiring needs to be messed with if you get a US unit to put in your CA car. So if you can find newer model G in CA it'd work out. Unless of course they do away with the DRL or wired it even more weird.
