How do you Install Clearance Lights?

Do I have to take off my wheel and remove the fender wall in order to reach the socket of the clearance bulb? Or is there a easier way to get access to the bulb from the hood?

I really dont want to take off the entire wheel just to pop in this little bulb. If I am going to do that, might as well get some fogs too. Someone help me!!!

Re: How do you Install Clearance Lights?

Ok, I found out how to do it without taking out the fender. I dont really recommend it, because it is very annoying and more difficult than it should be. But, I stuck my hand in the tiny spaces and found the tabs with my fingers. Now I have a lot of bloody scratches and scrapes all over my hand. I will post up a DIY soon. I installed the PIAA High Intensity LED 168 Blue/White bulbs. Here is a before and after shot:

I'm changing mine soon. I'll probably try your method.

Your more likely to get a speeding ticket then a fix it ticket for that. Since its white and blue, I supose if you got pulled over you could tell officer porky to get a life. Or just tell him its some kind of new halagen and its not warmed up yet.

Re: How do you Install Clearance Lights?

As long as the blue is closer to superwhite they can't give you a ticket. There is no law that says that those lights need to be yellow/white. What about cars that don't have them? Also... how do you take the fender off?
