Paul... based on those pics you posted on HID Planet, there is quite a bit of difference between the two.

Ill go ahead and post pics here for the G community to see.
So you want the bulb to get higher in k over time?

Not necessarily. I am just saying, I don't care if it is a feature like in the 85122+.

sfgr415,

Do you know for sure that the bulbs on hidconcepts are the 85122cx's? I don't see a model number of them on the site, just a general description. I sent an email to them to double check the part number before I buy.

that's really good deal. They must have gotten them in bulk. It's hard to match that price even in Japan.

*updated* - ok nevermind, didn't realize this thread had 5 pages - pulled the question trigger to quick, sorry guys.

What exactly are the: "elusive 85122cm bulbs by Philips"

I need some good bulbs for my 2006 headlamp upgrade, and haven't pulled the trigger yet so to speak.

Heard a TON about the ultinons, after reading around for quite some time.

What's the difference between the ULTINONS and the 85122cm?

Thanks Guys!

Ultinons are 5800k and roughly 2400 lumens. The 85122CM's are 4900k and roughly 3100 lumens.

hidconcepts responded back to me. They said they don't have any in stock right now and would put me on a wait list when they do get them again.

Might be a little late but the Philips ColorMatch 85122CM and 85126CM are 105.99 @ www.aftermarketbulbsshop.com per bulb
