Headlight recall, a difference?

Hey guys, I still havent gone in for the headlight recall and im wondering for those of you that have gone in...did you notice a difference?

reason I ask is several members have said there was no difference in their opinion and im a little hesistant to go down from all the stories ive heard where cars have had damage done to them while making the switch

NO DIFFERENCE

the recall is due to our lights blinding other drivers.. IMO just leave it. just save it so when ur lights do get scratched or rock chips u can take it in for some new ones lol

The only difference is the cut off line.. B4 the recall, my left beam were aimed a little higher then the right.

after the recall, the cut off lines are now even... also, while driving, i can see a big differecne. u can see where the lights cuts off while driving thru a neighborhood. looks pretty cool.

b4, the left light was all over the place.

You are right as rain about the stealerships causing damage. Just picked up my car a few weeks ago for some routine work and the stealer damaged my clear bra and paint on the front bumper. They ended up repainting the bumper and giving me a new 3M clear bra. It was a hassal and from now on I'm not leaving my car...........I'll stand and wait and watch

try driving in front of a G35 that needs a recall and you'll see the difference.

This is a bad picture from a long time ago. I was in a hurry as there were cars coming behind me, so that's why it's a little blurry. This is also before I aimed my lights... (I'm also at a slight angle)

But you can see the left side cut-off is lower than the right side...

All I know is that I almost never get flashed when I drive the G35, but I used to get flashed all the time when I drove our TL.

Since I replaced my fogs with yellow bulbs in both cars, I pretty much never get flashed in either car anymore. Though I still get flashed occasionally in the TL.

(And yes, my lights are correctly aimed)

looks like someone adjusted the headlights on your car. which is why its off. every factory installed 06 headlamp have the driverside cutoff aimed a lot higher then its suppose to be. Hence the "recall".

you probably did an upgrade on ur 03 - 05 G with the 06 headlamp.

but anyways, after my recall. the cutoff lines are now even.
