Clear sides........color?

Since I live in Ca. and don't want to give the "MAN" a reason to pull me over
I stayed with the amber bulbs sent with my clear sides. Why give them more
reason to pull me over, I already don't have a front license plate and tint?

No it's not. According to CA Vehicle Code 25100 Section d, front marker lights are not required on passenger cars.

It doesn't mandate anything about the light when it is not required. (It doesn't say anything about having them when not required) You can put clear lights in it, becuase your car doesn't require marker lights, so the side lights do not need to conform to requirements for marker lights, because you aren't using them as "marker lights".

You still however, have to obey the vehicle code that restricts what colors can be visible from the front of the car.

I have the ion yellow PIAAs in my side markers. I got bored with my xtreme whites, so I figured I'd just change it up a little bit. They don't really match my yellow Luminics, but it looks pretty cool imo.

I dont understand why people turn their turn signal lights to blue bulbs. Keep the clear lens and keep the bulb orange, it looks soo much better.

here's the texas law found in transportation code title 7:
§ 547.353. COLOR REQUIREMENTS. (a) A clearance lamp,
identification lamp, side marker lamp, or reflector mounted on the
front, on the side near the front, or in the center of the vehicle
must be or reflect amber.
