hi guys i do need to get clearfy on sth for these headlights
i own a 03 G in toronto canada. I really want to swap them to projectors.
So 1 day i was at the local dealeship to fix my keyless entry, i ask the saleman that sell me the car. I ask him how much is cost for a pair of 06 headlights. 3-4 mins later he comes back. first of all it cost 1200 CDN for ONE headlight itself. I m like wtf. I can get them on ebay, forums and etc for 400-600 a pairs. He is like ya but they don't work properly!

Here r things i want to get straight:

1) Canada have daylight saving lights on their cars, doesn't affect the 06 headlights from the states??
2) Apparently they run on different schematic on the US headlights compare to CAN headlights. Is that true??
3) If so the sideaffect on them if u still want to install them, is that the projectors will flicker when u turn them on?

is there any solution to these problems cause i really want projectors!!! the soulution that i think of is to retro fit them. Is that the right way to go??

You need to worry about the daytime running lights, I would PM tonyatriverside, and see if there is anything he can go for you. Might be a problem cuz you dont have a USDM car.

that wouldnt make sense to me.. the headlight works off a switch, if cdn cars have daytime lights then that would be programmed and controlled through the lightswitch, and have nothing to do with the headlight, bulb, or ballast... unless cdn Gs have an extra illumination in the housing.. which i doubt..

 

it doesn't work without re-wiring the 06 lights to the proper specs. there are few threads about this in the canadian section
