Headlight bulbs

Hello everyone, I have a 03 g35 sedan and am trying to change all the light bulbs.

So far i bought the piaa 6600k d2r for the low beams. I am trying to match as close as possible for all the other bulbs. Do you guys have any suggestions for bulbs for the high beam, fogs, and the little light that turns on with my lows.

Thanks for your help.

Was in the same boat as you 2 weeks ago. I bought this bi-xenon kit below for hi-beam and fog lights. It looks like I have 3 sets of HID lights with the oem set and the bi-xenon. It's unbelievable. You're set with the PIAA, because there is a hint of blue with the 6000k, and is much nicer than in my opinion than the stock 4500k or 4800k (whatever it is it's yellow). I'm getting a pair of the phillips untinon's for my low beams, and a set of ORACLE CCFL angel eye's then I'll be good to go lol.

The hi/low option is what has been keeping me from doing this. Is the high beam true HID or is it a halogen disguised as HID.

Only your low beam is HID, you have a dual filament Hi-beam/fog.

I was asking about the kit you bought, is it really bi-xenon or does it have a halogen for the highs? If it is really bi-xenon is ther much of a difference between high and low/fog?

The Piaa H4 "HID look" bulbs will be nice but not quite as purple as the 6600k's.

I have a HID low only sitting in the house, but did not want to lose the fog/high option. I guess I am going to sell it and get a bi-xenon kit.

Hey Kazaam, that kit is it for just the high beam to make it HID. Sorry i'm not very familiar with lights. And also I know the high beam lights are H4's, but what are the fogs and that little bulb that goes on with the low beams?
Thanks again.
Please post pictures when you put on those angel eyes, i've been reading about those but never seen them on a g35 yet.

For the bi xenon's are you using it only for highs and fogs? How hard is it to install? Where would you put all that extra wiring to make the headlight area not look cluttered?

The best way to get more light and not bother other drivers is to do a projector conversion. You can do a TL bi-xenon retro in the lower and make them your low/high beam.

Simplest way to put it, your car has two bulbs Hi and Low. One comes with stock hid (low) the other is your hi-beam which is one bulb with two filaments, when one filament is on it's your fog, when both are on it's your High Beam. So what I did was get that H4 bixenon kit for my Hi-Low combo and now when I turn on the fog switch, one hid filament comes on and when I push Hi-beam out both hid filaments on the bi-xenon setup comes on to match the already HID lowbeam. Buddy of mine that owns a stereo shop took my car and installed it cuz I thought I had to take off bumper. But all it took was it getting jacked up and access to wheel well. The rest is history, no clue how he wired everything lol.

I think, unless you come up with some aftermarket dual filament bulb you'll loose fog. HID or not worth modding.

g35sedan5at - Someone else posted this link in another thread, think it might help ya out:

G35blacksedan - I'm still trying to figure out what that little bulb that goes on with the low beam is as well, anyone have any idea? I don't even see what the point to it is, looks like a little wedge bulb similar to that of the clear corners.
